Jazz Appreciation month celebrated at the Ambassador’s Residence

On Thursday 24^th April, Ambassador Barry L. Wells hosted a musical concert at his residence to celebrate Jazz appreciation month. The concert was attended by a diverse section of the Gambian community, with a strong presence of the musicians and the media houses. The Baton Band, a multi-cultural group, entertained the guests with American Jazz and Blues, and a rich selection of traditional Gambian folk music.
  

This Jazz concert highlighted the positive relationship the Embassy has with key players in the Gambian Society.  It also emphasized the positive impact culture has in bringing people of different beliefs together, as manifested in the spontaneous performance of three local young Gambian Musicians among the guests.
