U.S. Embassy, Banjul Re-Launches Website

The U.S. Embassy is changing its website to http://banjul.usembassy.gov.  The old website will be discontinued.  This change was considered an important step in improving customer service and standardizing U.S. Embassy websites around the world.  The new format is more user-friendly, has shorter load-times for those with slow internet connections, and contains more information.  As before, the new website will have up-to-date information about American citizen services and visa applications.  

 

The U.S. Embassy website is most visited by people seeking information about visa applications.  The Embassy has a special section called “Visas to the U.S.” that contains all the relevant information needed to apply for a visa.  More importantly, the section contains links to the necessary application forms.  The main application form must be filled out online.  This is a worldwide requirement instituted by the Department of State, so it is important that non-immigrant visa applicants take the time to visit the site and view the requirements.  

 

U.S. Embassy Consul Wendy Kennedy will provide a demonstration of the new website to journalists on Wednesday, April 30^th at 12:00am in the Embassy meeting room.  Interested journalists should contact Papa Njie, the U.S. Embassy Public Diplomacy and Cultural Affairs Assistant.
