Visas for a Temporary stay for business or pleasure - B1/B2

Most applicants going to the United States for business or holidays will receive a B1/B2 visa.  Consular officers may issue a more limited visa for a specific purpose, such as a B1-only visa for business or a B2-only visa for pleasure.  The consular officer may also issue a visa for less than the maximum visa reciprocity allowed, depending upon the circumstances of the planned travel and the applicant's qualifications.
